This Privacy Policy explains what information LearnArround ("the App", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices available to you as a parent or guardian. LearnArround is designed for children ages 3–12 to be used together with a parent or guardian, and we have built the App to collect as little personal information as possible.

1. Summary — the short version

LearnArround does not require creating an account, and does not collect your (the parent's) name, email address, or phone number to use the App.
Child profile information (first name, age, and a chosen emoji avatar) is stored locally on your device only — it is not stored on our servers or in any database we operate.
When you use the App to generate a learning activity, the text topic you type or speak, and any photo you take, is sent to our AI content-generation providers solely to create that activity, as described in Section 3.
We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the App.
You can delete a child's profile at any time inside the App (Settings → Manage Children), and you can remove all App data at any time by uninstalling the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

2.2 Information collected automatically

LearnArround does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not collect device identifiers, precise location, browsing history, or usage analytics for tracking or advertising purposes. Standard technical information (such as your IP address and general request metadata) may be visible to our AI service providers as an inherent part of any internet request, as described in Section 3.

2.3 Information stored locally on your device

All child profiles, generated activities, scores, streaks, and app settings are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. We do not operate a central account database and cannot access this information remotely. If you uninstall the App or clear its storage, this data is permanently deleted from your device.

3. How Information Is Shared — Our AI Service Providers

To generate games, worksheets, and stories, the App sends the relevant information (child's age, the topic text, and/or the photo you provide) to the following third-party AI service providers strictly to fulfill your request. These providers process the data to generate content and do not receive any information that identifies you personally (such as your name, email, or account information — because we do not collect these).

We do not sell your information, or your child's information, to anyone. We do not share information with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use the information you provide for any purpose other than generating the learning activity you requested.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

LearnArround is designed to be used by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar children's privacy laws:

We do not require a child to create an account, provide an email address, or provide any contact information to use the App.
The only information collected about a child is a first name, age, and a chosen avatar — entered by the parent or guardian setting up the profile — and this is stored locally on the device, not on our servers.
Every photo and every text topic is passed through an automated content-safety check before any content is generated, and photos containing a recognizable human face are rejected by this safety check.
We do not knowingly collect more personal information from children than is reasonably necessary for the App's educational features, and we do not use children's information for behavioral advertising.
Parents can review, edit, or delete a child's profile and its associated data at any time from within the App (Settings → Manage Children).

If you believe your child has provided us with personal information beyond what is described in this policy, please contact us using the details in Section 8 and we will investigate and delete it as appropriate.

5. Data Security

Data transmitted from the App to our AI service providers is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Because the App does not operate a central user account database, there is no persistent server-side store of your child's personal information for us to secure beyond the transient processing described in Section 3. Data stored on your device is protected by your device's own operating system security (e.g., device passcode, encryption at rest provided by iOS/Android).

6. Data Retention & Deletion

On-device data (child profiles, activities, scores, settings) is retained for as long as the App is installed, and until you delete a specific child profile or uninstall the App — at which point it is permanently removed.
Data sent to AI providers for generating an activity (topic text, photos) is used only to fulfill that specific generation request. We do not use this data to build a persistent profile of your child, and it is not retained by us after the activity has been generated and returned to your device.
To delete all App data: delete the relevant child profile inside the App (Settings → Manage Children → Delete), or uninstall the App to remove all locally-stored data at once.

7. Your Choices

You can decline to grant camera, microphone, or photo library permissions — the corresponding input methods (photo-based or voice-based activity creation) simply will not be available, but you can still create activities by typing a topic.
You can delete any child profile, and its locally-stored data, at any time from within the App.
You can stop all data collection at any time by uninstalling the App.
